Global OLED Notebook PC Shipments Expected to Rise 30% in 2026: Report

New Delhi — OLED notebook PCs are projected to see significant growth in 2026, with global shipments expected to rise 30% year-on-year (YoY) as production costs decline and more brands introduce premium OLED models, according to a new report by Counterpoint Research.

The report noted that Apple’s upcoming OLED MacBook Pro lineup will act as a key catalyst, accelerating the shift toward high-performance, energy-efficient displays across the IT industry.

OLED notebook PC panel shipments are forecast to grow 9% YoY in 2025, setting the foundation for the 30% surge expected in 2026.

Overall, the global notebook PC display market is projected to expand by 4% in 2025, driven by enterprise upgrades, AI adoption, and the rollout of new products. Within this segment, advanced display technologies such as OLED and MiniLED panels are expected to grow 9% YoY, accounting for 8% of total notebook PC shipments.

“The major brands expect strong performance through 2025, supported by enterprise refresh cycles, software updates, and the growing role of AI,” said David Naranjo, Associate Director at Counterpoint Research. “We forecast advanced notebook PC panel shipments to rise 9% year-on-year in 2025, marking another solid year for this segment,” he added.

The report also highlighted that the broader notebook PC display market demonstrated resilience, growing 8% YoY in Q2 2025 after a 15% increase in Q1 2025. This momentum was driven by stronger shipments ahead of potential tariff impacts.

For full-year 2025, the global notebook display market is now expected to grow 4% YoY — an upward revision from Counterpoint’s earlier forecast of 1% — reflecting strong first-half performance despite macroeconomic and tariff-related challenges.
