Qualcomm Accelerates India’s Digital Future with AI, 6G, and Make in India Initiatives

New Delhi – Qualcomm India is spearheading the nation’s digital transformation, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive technology solutions.

At the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, the company showcased a broad spectrum of innovations, spanning Edge AI, 6G, smart homes, connected devices, and advanced computing platforms—demonstrating how Qualcomm’s technologies are shaping India’s digital landscape.

Qualcomm outlined its vision for an intelligent and connected India around three core pillars: Personal AI, Physical AI, and Industrial AI. This framework highlights the company’s focus on scalable, secure, and India-first solutions across consumer, enterprise, and infrastructure sectors.

A long-standing partner in India’s technology evolution, Qualcomm has supported the country from 3G to 5G and is now preparing for 6G through early-stage research, strategic collaborations, and local R&D investments.

At IMC 2025, Qualcomm emphasized the transformative potential of combining Edge AI with 5G, describing them as the twin engines of India’s digital future. Its platforms enable real-time, low-latency intelligence across multiple industries, including automotive, industrial IoT, mobile devices, and computing solutions.

Live demonstrations featured on-device generative AI for smartphones and industrial devices, AI-powered surveillance, intelligent wearables such as smartwatches and earbuds, and connected vehicles—delivering seamless, multimodal user experiences.

The company also announced key collaborations with Indian partners to expand its ecosystem. To nurture future AI talent, Qualcomm launched the Qualcomm AI Upskilling Programme: Technical Foundation, targeting students, developers, and professionals. The program covers AI and ML fundamentals, Edge AI, generative AI, and hands-on experience with Qualcomm’s AI Hub, enabling participants to develop on-device AI applications.

Through these initiatives, Qualcomm India is solidifying its role as a partner in the nation’s digital transformation.
