New Delhi– Tesla and SpaceX CEO **Elon Musk** announced on Sunday that an early beta version of **Grokipedia**, a new knowledge platform developed by his artificial intelligence company **xAI**, will launch within the next **two months**.
The platform is being designed as a direct **AI-driven competitor to Wikipedia**, aimed at creating what Musk and his team describe as “the world’s largest and most accurate knowledge source — for humans and AI — with no limits on use.”
Musk shared the update while **retweeting a post by X user @amXFreeze**, who described Grokipedia as a system that uses advanced inference computation to evaluate and verify online content.
According to the post, Grokipedia will analyse sources such as Wikipedia, identifying what is **true, partially true, false, or missing** from the entries. It will then **flag inaccuracies, correct half-truths, and add missing context** to create more reliable information.
“The reason it will be the true knowledge source,” the tweet continued, “is because it’s built solely for the truth and to navigate to the truth — free from bias or hidden agendas. Elon never does anything halfway; he dives straight to the full extent.”
Musk has long been a critic of **Wikipedia’s editorial system and funding model**, arguing that the platform often reflects political or institutional bias. His idea of an AI-based alternative — one that “navigates toward truth” — has drawn **mixed reactions** from users on **X**. While many welcomed a new competitor, others voiced concerns that **Grok’s own training data** could introduce fresh biases.
In earlier statements, Musk said Grokipedia would represent a **“massive improvement over Wikipedia”**, aligning with **xAI’s broader mission to understand the universe** through truth-focused artificial intelligence.
Musk, who recently became the **world’s first person to achieve a net worth of $500 billion**, continues to expand his footprint across AI, space, and automotive sectors.
His AI company **xAI**, valued at **$75 billion as of July**, was reportedly targeting a **$200 billion valuation** after a future fundraise, although Musk clarified that **no capital was being raised at that time**.
