Sony India brings BRAVIA 'Master Series' to India

Sony India has expanded its premium BRAVIA OLED television range with the launch of the A9F under its Master Series, bringing advanced picture processing, hands-free voice controls and enhanced audio features to the company's high-end TV portfolio.

The new range includes the 55-inch KD-55A9F, priced at Rs 3,99,990, and the 65-inch KD-65A9F, priced at Rs 5,59,990. Both models will be available in India from September 20.

The televisions run on Android TV 8.0 Oreo and feature Sony's X1 Ultimate picture processor, which is designed to analyse individual objects within a scene and improve their sharpness, texture and overall detail.

Sony has also equipped the TVs with its Pixel Contrast Booster technology, a panel-control system developed for OLED displays. The company said the combination of these technologies enables the televisions to deliver 4K HDR images with improved contrast and greater visual depth.

One of the key features of the new Master Series models is Netflix Calibrated Mode, which is designed to reproduce Netflix content closer to the creators' intended picture quality. The TVs also support hands-free voice search, making it possible for users to operate certain functions and search for content using voice commands.

The A9F also supports TV Centre Speaker Mode, allowing the television to work as the centre speaker in a compatible home theatre setup. This can help integrate dialogue and other audio more naturally with a multi-speaker system.

For sound output, Sony has incorporated its Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, which uses the television's OLED panel to produce audio and create a more immersive, multi-dimensional sound experience.

The televisions feature a minimalist "single slate" design, with a single stand at the rear supporting the display and helping maintain a clean appearance.

Sony has also focused on accessibility and ease of use by offering support for 11 Indian languages along with more than 14 international dialects.

The X1 Ultimate processor further enhances picture quality through object-based super resolution, which identifies individual elements in a frame and processes them separately to improve accuracy and fine details. Its updated object-based HDR remastering technology can similarly adjust individual objects to enhance depth, colour and texture.

With the A9F series, Sony is positioning its Master Series OLED televisions as premium home entertainment devices that combine high-end display technology with advanced audio, smart-TV features and a design aimed at delivering a more cinema-like viewing experience.
