Sanjay Seth writes to CM to provide adequate compensation for loss caused by elephants

Ranchi: Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth has written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren urging to make an assessment of the losses being caused due to elephant menace and asked him to give adequate compensation to the victims.

In his letter, he has pointed that every year more than two dozen deaths are taking place in the state due to elephant-related violence and pointed that in the last one week the elephants have caused massive damage in Ichagarh and Silli areas.

He has urged the Chief Minister to take necessary action in this regard and suggested that a committee should be formed to make assessments of the losses caused by the elephants and provide compensation accordingly
