
Ranchi: Rainfall coupled with dense fog has thrown normal life completely out of gear in the state.
It had rained in many parts of the state late Wednesday night and also on Thursday morning as a result of which the temperature fell down considerably causing difficulties to the early morning office goers and some of the schools which are still functional.
The Weather Department has said that due to Western Disturbance throughout the day at regular intervals rainfall was recorded in different areas.
The weatherman said that due to the impact of western disturbance rainfall was taking place in the state. Due to the cloud cover enthusiasts also found it very difficult to spot the solar eclipse as the sun for most of the time remained under cloud cover.
In the last 24 hours some of the areas of the state have recorded medium rainfall with Lohardaga recording a maximum of 27.8 mm of rainfall.
Moreover throughout the day, thick fog cover remained in the state making commutation difficult as visibility was less than 50 meters forcing the people to ply their vehicles using the headlights on throughout the day.
