
Ranchi: Chief Secretary DK Tiwari has directed the education department to develop a leader school in every block.
Reviewing the progress of project Saath related to School Education Department he said that efforts should be made that the school should be equipped with all the basic amenities including good quality books, discipline in school along with performance in sports debate and music so that the other schools can follow its example and draw inspiration.
He also laid stress that apart from school education focus should be on mental activeness and said that efforts should be made to make them socially and mentally strong so that they become better citizens. Through Saath-E medium the students studying in government schools needed to be upgraded as per their class standards.
In the survey, it has emerged that despite the students studying in class 5 it has emerged that their mental knowledge is of class 3 level. These students are being upgraded through various initiatives of Saath-E which is yielding better results.
The Chief Secretary has directed to form a centralised call centre and said that proper awareness should be created regarding the number so that any information related to school can reach to the parents, students and common people.
He said that they can tell whether the school opened on time or not or whether they were facing any problem in education. Mr Tiwari also directed to prepare a database of parents and students.
The Chief Secretary said to improve the performance of the schools has directed to implement the practice of incentive and punishment and said that the performance of the students should be linked with the salary and increment of the teachers.
