Jharkhand to move forward on its woman power: CM

Saraikela-Kharsawan: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that on the basis of the woman-power Jharkhand will move forward. Addressing a Jan Chaupal at Birsa Munda Stadium at Kuchai he said that the state was proud of its daughters and urged them to visit their nearest Anganwadi center and get their passbook registered and take advantage of the Sukanya Yojana.

He said that for the elder girls the government has also launched Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana and the money will be given directly in the accounts of the daughters so that they are not forced to run after offices or fall prey to middlemen. He asked the people present to educate their daughters as it will help to change the fortunes of two families.

The Chief Minister said that all have misled the state in the name of providing water and roads and after 67 years of Independence power was only in 38 lakh homes and his government in the last five years provided power in 30 lakh homes and laid a network of roads in the villages. He said that maoists were breathing their last in the state and asked the youth to join the mainstream of life and assured them of all possible government help.

Mr Das said that the government understood the needs of the people and framed policies accordingly. He said that it was his government which increased the old age widow and Divyang pension to Rs 1000 which was earlier 1000.

He said that all the poor will have roof over their heads and pointed the names of various schemes under which homes are being provided to the people and said that under PMAY homes have been provided to more than 5 lakh poor.

He said that poor had to burden a lot for medical treatment but under Ayushman Bharat Yojana 57 lakh families are being provided free medical insurance worth Rs 5 lakh. Mr Das said that villagers themselves understand the problems of their village and therefore the government form the Adivasi Gram Vikas Samiti and Gram Vikas Samiti who are ensuring execution of schemes worth Rs 5 lakh in the village.

The Chief Minister detailed about the various schemes of the state government and also asked people to make rural area from alcohol. He also listened to the complaints related to poor quality road and assures that their problems would be solved as soon as possible.
