Jharkhand Unveils Vidhi Portal 2.0 to Modernise Government Litigation Management

Ranchi: In a major push towards digital governance, the Jharkhand government on Friday launched **Vidhi Portal 2.0**, an upgraded platform designed to improve the monitoring and management of government litigation through technology-driven solutions.

The portal was inaugurated by Advocate General Rohitashwa Roy at the Jharkhand High Court's conference hall in the presence of IT Secretary Pooja Singhal, Law Secretary Neeraj Kumar Srivastava, Senior Additional Advocate General Achyut Keshav and senior officials from various departments.

Developed under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Vidhi Portal 2.0 aims to bring greater efficiency, transparency and accountability to the handling of government court cases. The platform integrates government departments, the Law Department, the Advocate General's Office and government advocates on a single digital system, enabling seamless coordination in legal matters.

The upgraded portal offers several advanced features, including real-time case tracking, automated alerts, smart workflow management and data-driven analytics to support timely decisions and stronger legal representation.

More than 20 new features have been introduced in this version, such as integration with the e-Courts system, smart cause lists, daily and weekly case digests, an executive dashboard, centralised notice management and a dedicated mobile application. The government also plans to add artificial intelligence-based legal analysis in future versions.

Addressing the gathering, Advocate General Rohitashwa Roy said the portal would significantly strengthen the state's legal case management system and improve coordination in handling court matters. IT Secretary Pooja Singhal said the initiative reflects the government's commitment to transparent, efficient and technology-enabled governance.

The state government will also organise phased training programmes for officials and other users to ensure effective implementation and optimum utilisation of the portal's features.
