
Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the state government was committed to providing homes to all the poor and homeless therefore it has given the power to the DCs to allow 250 homes each under their discretion as part of Ambedkar Aawas Yojana.
Chairing a review meeting with the dis he said that if more such applications come before them than funds of the DMFT and those from the aspirational districts can be used to give homes to the homeless in which priority should be given to the widow extremely backward and people hailing from the primitive tribes and wherever necessary camp should be organized and peoples in be included as no one should remain homeless in the state.
He also asked the officials to ensure that in every home toilets are constructed and forward the list by October 28 to the CMO. He said that homes have to be allocated under PMAY Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Yojana Birsa Aawas Yojana and Vedvyas Yojana, therefore, the first installment of funds should be given to the beneficiaries before the festival of Chhath.
