Crisis-ridden Left front to contest on 50 seats if fails to get respectable numbers in Mahagathbandhan

Ranchi: The left parties have sounded a warning to the major allies of the mahagathbandhan in the state and said that if they were not awarded a respectable number of seats to contest then they would be fielding their candidates on 50 seats during the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections in the state.

Addressing a joint press conference at the end of the meeting of the left parties CPI leader and former Hazaribag MP Bhuneshwar Prasad Mehta said that the left parties have identified 50 seats and if a tie-up with mahagathbandhan fails to happen then the left parties with other organisations would be collaborating and contesting the Vidhan Sabha elections.

He said that the condition of the state and the country was very bad and the Nation was going through serious economic slowdown and many sectors were facing great problems and people were being sacked from their jobs.

He alleged that the BJP in Jharkhand was working like a dictator and said that police was working on directions of the state government due to which killing of Tabrez Ansari was attributed to heart attack and demanded for a CBI
probe into the incident.

He said that the left front will be staging a Raj Bhawan march on September 14th in protest of a host of issues. Infrastructure financing major IL&FS has received binding financial offers totalling nearly Rs 13,000 crore for 10 of its domestic road assets. In addition to this, the IL&FS Group entities continue to hold rights to receive claims with gross value of over Rs 1,900 crore filed with various concession authorities in respect of these assets. “The combined value of bids and these claims will help address the cumulative financial debt of Rs 17,700 crore, as of October 2018, in these assets.
