PM Visit: 8 IPS, 54 DSPs and more than 6000 police jawans to look after security arrangements

Ranchi: Security arrangements have been increased in the state especially in the capital in wake of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled on September 12.

For the security of the Prime Minister 8 IPS and 54 DSP rank officials have been deployed with Ranchi SSP Anish Gupta himself looking after the security. To ensure full-proof security 123 inspectors, 656 subinspectors and 6,000 police jawans have been deployed.

A special vigil was being kept on the vehicles passing through the prominent spots of the city and any suspicious person is being inspected, even patrolling at the airport has been increased. At all the tall buildings security jawans will be deployed and the SSP has instructed the different police stations to be in touch with each other.

The Prime Minister will be reaching at the airport on September 11.30 am from where he will be traveling to the venue through road. For the visit of the PM the team of the SPG has already reached the city and has taken over the complete security of the venue especially D area where no one is being allowed to enter.

On September 12 two hours before the arrival of the Prime Minister movement of vehicles on the road leading from the airport to the venue will be stopped and only after the PM departs vehicle movement will be allowed on the road. 

The roadside stalls and hawkers will also be removed on the day from the stretch leading from the airport to the venue
