
Dumka: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in the state on September 12 during which he will inaugurate the Sahebganj port foundation for which he had laid in the year 2017 and apart from that he will also inaugurate the newly constructed Vidhan Sabha building in Ranchi.
Addressing the Santhal Pargana Division level meeting of Ujjwala Didis he said that there was a need to have a new thought to make a new Jharkhand and a New Santha Pargana. He said that soon AIIMS will be functional in Deoghar while admission in Dumka Medical College was on. He said that after the inauguration of the port in Sahebganj the area will emerge as a commercial hub and it will also create direct and indirect employment for the youth of the area.
In his message to the Ujjwala Didis he said that through them the kitchens in the villages will become safe and they would be helping get such families part of the scheme who have been yet not covered through which the state government will be able to achieve the target to provide 10 lakh more connections under the Ujjwala Yojana in the state by September 30.
He said that the women will be given the training to make the kitchens safe for which 70 women of sakhi mandals will be trained in Ranchi from September 9. Mr Das said that these master trainers will later train the other women in the blocks and make the mothers and sisters aware on how to use the LPG cylinders in the homes. He said that identity cards which has been given to Ujjwala Didis to Dumka will be given in also other parts of the state.
The Chief Minister also extended his greetings to the sportsperson on the occasion of sports day he said that sons and daughters from the state have made a name for themselves across the world. He said that women are an integral part of the development process and unless they are empowered a better society, state or country can not be made.
Mr Das said that the state government is taking the help of the women in many schemes including ready to eat meals, providing uniforms or working as soil doctors. Adding further he said that there was no lack of funds in the government for the execution of schemes as the state government made additional provision of Rs 400 crore to include 57 lakh families under Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the state while for the betterment of the farmers the Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana was started.
Speaking on the occasion Welfare Minister Louis Marandi said that under the Chief Minister new milestones have been set in development and moreover the women of the state are feeling empowered. She said that it is the target of the state government to make sure that development reaches to the last person in the society.
During the function the Chief Minister gave additional refill of cylinders as a symbolic gesture, distributed identity cards among Ujjwala Didis and also distributed deeds and assets among the beneficiaries of the various government schemes. Those present on the occasion also included cabinet ministers Randhir Singh, Raj Paliwar, Dumka MP Sunil Soren, many MLAs and senior officials of the district and police administration
