Ward Councillors boycott RMC meet

Ranchi: Raising a hue and cry over the delay by almost two hours in the meeting of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation majority of the ward councillors got angry and boycotted the meeting.

The agitators not only forced the mayor, deputy mayor and other officials to abort the meeting midway but also indulged in slogan shouting against them. They alleged that the meeting was scheduled for 11 am but the mayor and other officials reached the meeting around 1 pm which was not acceptable to them.

The mayor along with some of the other wars councillors held a meeting to pacify the agitating ward councillors but they did not listen due to which no discussion could be held on the issues related to the people or any decision taken.
