Daltonganj: In a major success for the Palamu two ultras belonging to the CPI (Maoists) were arrested from separate police station areas.
Addressing a press conference here Palamu SP Ajay Linda said that police had received that active hardcore ultra Vinay Yadav alias Jalebi Yadav (19) had come to his relative’s home after which a team of Harihargunj Police and 134th battalion of CRPF conducted raids arrested Yadav.
Mr Linda said that the Maoist has confessed to his role in many incidents which took place in the bordering areas. He said that Jalebi Yadav was also involved in carrying out a blast at the election office of BJP’s Palamu candidate VD Ram during the Lok Sabha polls. He said that Yadav was also involved in various incidents in Aurangabad and Gaya.
On the other hand following another tip off another hardcore ultra Sonu Singh Khairwar alias Deepak Singh alias Chotu Singh Khairwar was arrested. He said that several cases are also registered against him in different police station areas of Palamu.
