Monsoon Session: Raghubar government is most inefficient and underperforming in history of Jharkhand alleges Hemant

Ranchi: Leader of Opposition Hemant Soren once again attacked the state government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das and described it as the most inefficient and underperforming in the history of the state. 

Addressing the media outside the assembly after the house was adjourned till the lunch break he cornered the state government over amendments proposed in the Indian Forest Act 1927. Mr Soren said that some of the MLAs of the ruling benches mislead the speaker over the issue by distorting the facts.

He said that the state government has already received the draft of the amendments proposed by the centre over which it has been asked to give its opinion. He said that the draft was sent to the state governments two and a half months ago over which it is sitting idle.

Mr Soren claimed that by making amendments in the Indian Forest Act a conspiracy was being hatched to hand over the forest land to the corporate houses and private parties and even contained provisions for the officials of the forest department to shoot the forest dwellers. He said that MLAs of his party and those in opposition only wanted to know the stand of the government over the entire issue however the ruling party tried to mislead by claiming that the matter was subjudice but in reality, there was no case related to the Indian Forest Act in court.

He said that people only go to court when the law has been framed and in this case, no law has been made than how the matter was subjudice the government should tell to the house. Soren claimed that his party was worried as the issue was going to impact half of the population of the state and alleged that the state government was against the Adivasis and Moolvasis of Jharkhand as a result of which 75 percent outsiders were getting the government jobs.
