Ranchi’s three-day Swarnim Bharat Expo 2026 kicked off on Thursday with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar cutting the ribbon at Ranchi Club Limited. Central Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu and several other dignitaries were present at the inauguration.
Running from 22 to 24 October, the national exhibition aims to bring the story of India’s development and transformation closer to ordinary citizens. Visitors will find displays on a wide range of central government schemes, the achievements of public institutions, scientific progress and the new initiatives taking shape across the country.
The focus is firmly on the journey from ‘Make in India’ to a self-reliant and developed nation by 2047. Indigenous manufacturing, modern technology, science, innovation and the push for self-reliance take centre stage, giving people a clear picture of how the country is changing.
Over the next three days, residents of Ranchi and visitors will have the chance to see government programmes and national accomplishments up close, along with the latest advances in science and technology that are helping build an Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Expo is being seen as a bridge between the government’s vision and the public — an effort to connect people with India’s growing capabilities and its long-term goal of becoming a developed nation.
