Tata Steel Recovers Suspected Pilfered Tata Tiscon TMT Bars Along Hazaribagh–Barhi Route

Jamshedpur/Ranchi, October 30, 2026: Tata Steel's Security and Brand Protection Team has recovered Tata Tiscon-branded TMT bars from the Hazaribagh area following information about suspected theft during transportation.

After receiving the information, the team reached the Hazaribagh–Barhi route and inspected the location. During the search, Tata Tiscon-branded TMT bars, including cut pieces, were found lying in an open area behind a roadside hotel. The recovered material was documented and seized before being handed over to the local police for further action.

Tata Steel has also submitted a formal written complaint at Padma Police Station regarding the suspected unauthorised handling and pilferage of its branded TMT bars. Following the complaint, the required procedures have been initiated, and further action is being taken in coordination with the local police.

The recovery operation was carried out in the presence of Akhilesh Kumar, Head of Security at Tata Steel; Bimlesh Kumar Rai, Senior Manager, Security, Tata Steel; and Dhrubojyoti Saha, Senior Area Manager, Brand Protection, Tata Steel.

Further investigation and necessary action in the matter are underway.
