Ramgarh: Cleanliness, awareness and community participation programmes were organised at all Anganwadi centres across Ramgarh district under the Government of India's Special Campaign 6.0, following directions from Deputy Commissioner Rituraj.

The campaign aims to ensure clean and well-maintained surroundings at Anganwadi centres while raising awareness among children, parents and local communities about hygiene and healthy practices.

Various activities were conducted under the supervision of Anganwadi workers and helpers. Young children were educated about personal hygiene, the importance of regular handwashing, healthy eating habits and keeping their surroundings clean.

Children were specifically taught to wash their hands thoroughly with soap before meals, after using the toilet and after playing. Through simple and engaging activities, they were also shown the correct way to wash their hands so that they could develop good hygiene habits from an early age.

Special attention was given to cleaning the Anganwadi premises, maintaining hygienic toilets, ensuring the availability of drinking water and proper waste disposal. Anganwadi workers also sensitised parents and members of the local community about health and hygiene, urging them to keep their homes and surroundings clean.

The activities also highlighted the connection between nutrition, health and hygiene. Beneficiaries were informed about various welfare schemes run by the Women and Child Development Department and the importance of ensuring timely resolution of related problems and complaints.

Under the Government of India's guidelines for Special Campaign 6.0, emphasis is also being placed on cleanliness activities and the priority-based disposal of pending grievances in systems such as Poshan Tracker, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) and CPGRAM.

The Ramgarh district administration is working to turn cleanliness into a community-driven movement and encourage children to develop positive attitudes towards hygiene and health from an early age.
