Deoghar: Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania on Friday inaugurated a district-level training programme for the second phase of Census 2027, which will cover population enumeration.

The five-day programme, being conducted at the Circuit House from October 30 to November 3, aims to ensure that the census exercise is carried out smoothly and without errors.

Addressing the officials, Bhuvania said census data played a vital role in shaping government policies and welfare schemes. He urged census officials and technical assistants to understand all aspects of the training thoroughly to prevent technical and practical difficulties during fieldwork.

He also emphasised the need for coordination among officials at every level and the timely completion of the exercise.

The training is being organised for census officials and technical assistants deployed at district, subdivision, urban and charge levels. Master trainers and other personnel are being familiarised with the technical and practical requirements of population enumeration.

A team of central trainers provided detailed instructions on accurate enumeration, digital data entry and the precautions officials must take while conducting fieldwork.

Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha, Municipal Commissioner Sulochana Meena, block development officers, census officials, technical assistants, the Assistant Public Relations Officer and other officials and staff attended the inaugural programme.
