On the occasion of Vijayadashami, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda paid a courtesy visit to Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Lok Bhavan in Ranchi. Speaking to the media afterwards, Munda shared details of the conversation and made clear that the meeting had no political purpose—he had gone to Lok Bhavan simply to extend Vijayadashami greetings. The discussion, however, touched on several important matters concerning the state.

According to Munda, the conversation centred largely on issues related to Jharkhand's tribal regions, including tribal governance and land-related matters in Scheduled Areas. He described these issues as highly sensitive and said they deserve serious consideration, noting that the Governor too expressed concern over the problems faced by tribal areas.

The former Chief Minister stressed that tribal region and land matters should not remain confined to discussion alone, and that concrete steps must be taken toward resolving them. He said the state government needs to address these subjects through its policies, and indicated that policies should be framed with an understanding of local conditions and the interests of the people living there.

The Vijayadashami meeting was thus focused less on politics and more on the state's tribal regions and land-related concerns. Describing it as a courtesy call, Munda underlined the need for the government to work on these issues with seriousness.
