CCL Corporate Communications Department Receives Strategic Communication Leadership Award

Ranchi/New Delhi: The Corporate Communications and Public Relations Department of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has been honoured with the prestigious Strategic Communication Leadership Award at the ET Business Excellence & Leadership Summit 2026 in New Delhi.

The award recognises the department’s initiatives in communication, innovation and creative outreach, as well as its efforts to create an effective platform for public relations professionals.

At the ceremony, Indian film personality Rajeev Khandelwal presented the award on the ET platform. CCL General Manager and Head of the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Department Alok Kumar Gupta and Manager (CD) Mayank Kashyap received the award on behalf of the company.

Under the leadership and guidance of CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Nilendu Kumar Singh, the company has continued to promote innovation and creativity in corporate communication, branding and public relations. These efforts have focused on strengthening CCL’s corporate identity and enhancing its brand presence at the national level.

The department has undertaken several creative initiatives in recent years. These include the designing and implementation of a new CCL logo and tagline, wall murals highlighting the dedication of coal miners, the ‘Kabadi Se Kanchan’ initiative, ‘War Against Wastage’, the National PR Conclave and a customised postal stamp dedicated to the spirit and contribution of CCL employees.

The company said these initiatives have also contributed to strengthening its engagement with the media. In recent years, there has been a qualitative increase in CCL-related coverage across print, digital and electronic media, while the company’s media relations have also received a fresh impetus.

The Strategic Communication Leadership Award marks recognition of CCL’s efforts in creative communication, innovative public relations and corporate branding. The company said the achievement would encourage the CCL family to pursue further innovative initiatives and strengthen communication practices in the years ahead.
