DSP Rampravesh Kumar Faces Allegations from Wife, Police Begin Probe After FIR

A case has been registered against Jharkhand Police DSP Rampravesh Kumar at Ranchi’s Sadar police station following a complaint filed by his wife. After the FIR was registered, police began investigating the allegations. Kumar is currently posted as CCR DSP in Bokaro.

According to the complaint, the woman has accused her husband of physically assaulting her. She has also alleged that she was repeatedly pressured to bring money from her parental home. The complaint states that an altercation between the couple allegedly turned violent, following which the woman’s family members reached the spot and took her to a hospital for treatment.

The case has also drawn attention because the woman’s father is himself a DSP in the police department and resides within the jurisdiction of Ranchi’s Sadar police station. After being informed about the incident, he reached the spot and arranged for his daughter to be taken to hospital.

Police are now examining the allegations from different angles. Investigators are expected to speak to the woman and her family members and may also question others who could have information about the incident. The circumstances leading to the dispute and the events surrounding the alleged assault will form an important part of the investigation.

According to the information available, the couple got married earlier this year. Differences reportedly developed between them after the marriage.
