Actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary recently met Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on the reality streaming show ‘Rise and Fall’ and recalled his memorable exchange with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Parliament.
A clip from the show has surfaced on social media, showing Priyanka telling the veteran politician that she regularly watches his videos and enjoys his humour.
“I watch all your videos. Sometimes I search your name on Instagram and scroll all your reels. I like you a lot. You look very funny. And your talks make me laugh a lot,” she told him.
Priyanka then referred to an exchange involving Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mamata Banerjee in Parliament, recalling the politician’s remarks about demands for railway facilities.
“They say that it is not right that the rail was asked for. They say that it was not asked for. They say that if it was not asked for, it will not be found. You are very funny,” she said while recounting the incident.
Lalu Prasad Yadav appeared on the show in support of his son, Tej Pratap Yadav, who is among the contestants.
‘Rise and Fall’ features 15 contestants competing over 42 days in a game centred on power, strategy, alliances and changing fortunes. Participants are divided into two groups: Rulers, who exercise control from the Tower, and Workers, who live in the Basement and compete for opportunities to move up.
The second season also introduces greater audience participation, allowing viewers to influence who becomes a Ruler or a Worker.
The contestants include Swara Bhasker, Karan Patel, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shehzad Poonawalla, Gautam Gulati, Tej Pratap Yadav, Sara Gurpal and Kajal Raghwani.
The series marks former India cricketer Virender Sehwag’s streaming debut as a reality-show host. Produced by Banijay Asia, it is available to stream on Amazon MX Player.
