Ranjana Shukla Takes Over as IWC Ranchi South President in Presence of Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey

RANCHI: The 18th Installation Ceremony of the Inner Wheel Club (IWC) Ranchi South was held on Friday in a dignified atmosphere, marking the induction of the club's new executive committee for the 2026–27 term. Ranjana Shukla assumed charge as the new President of the club, while members were felicitated for their outstanding contributions to various social service initiatives undertaken throughout the year.

The ceremony was graced by Jharkhand Minister for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, who inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Congratulating the newly elected team, the Minister lauded the role of women-led organisations like the Inner Wheel Club in driving social development.

 

She said that although such organisations may have a limited number of members, their commitment and impact on society are remarkable. "Groups like the Inner Wheel Club play a vital role in bringing positive change and inspiring community service," she said.

The newly inducted executive committee includes Anu Malik as Vice President, Lajwati Kumar as Secretary, Rita Gupta as Treasurer, Shweta Jaiswal as ISO and Neelu Gupta as Club Editor. All office-bearers pledged to work with dedication towards the club's mission.

Introducing herself, Ranjana Shukla said she joined IWC Ranchi South in 2010 and expressed gratitude to the members for entrusting her with the responsibility of leading the club. She said the organisation would continue expanding its social outreach and strengthen its service initiatives in the coming year.

The club also highlighted its key projects, including support for the marriage of underprivileged girls, water and sanitation initiatives, Republic Day programmes, collar exchange activities and several community welfare campaigns. Members who played significant roles in these projects were honoured during the ceremony.

 

District Secretary of Inner Wheel District 325, Neeta Narayan, extended her best wishes to the new team and expressed confidence that under Ranjana Shukla's leadership, the club would continue making meaningful contributions towards social welfare and women's empowerment.

The programme was attended by Sangeeta Saran, Kanti Pandey, Neelam Lalit, Suman Singh, Baljeet, Rama Nanda, Maya Verma and other club members, while Angel Saraf conducted the proceedings.
