DC Reviews Shravani Mela 2026 Preparations

Deoghar : Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania on Wednesday reviewed preparations for State Shravani Mela 2026 through an extensive inspection of the mela area, Kanwariya Path and key infrastructure sites. He inspected ISBT, the proposed Tent City at Kothiya, Sarsa, Bhalua, Paritraan and Dumma Border, and directed officials to ensure timely completion of all works.The Deputy Commissioner stressed proper sanitation, ventilation, security, fire safety and electrical audits at the Tent City. He also instructed officials to develop organized parking facilities at Kothiya, Sarsa, Bhalua and Paritraan, along with separate toilets and bathing facilities for men and women.
During a foot inspection of the Kanwariya Path from Dumma Border, he directed officials to spread fine sand on the route, strengthen drinking water and sanitation arrangements, secure overhead electrical lines and remove encroachments. He also reviewed the status of health centres, police outposts, administrative camps, information centres and power infrastructure.The Deputy Commissioner ordered regular cleaning around Shivganga Sarovar and emphasized uninterrupted drinking water supply and safe electricity throughout the mela period. He also directed officials to expedite beautification works from Dumma to Khijuria More and take strict action against illegal construction and encroachment along the Kanwariya Path.Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha, the Municipal Commissioner, Additional Collector and other senior administrative and police officials were present during the inspection.
