Congress Claims INDIA Alliance Unity Will Secure Both Rajya Sabha Seats, Alleges Growing Unease Within BJP

Ranchi: Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) spokesperson Vijay Shankar Nayak on Tuesday asserted that the INDIA Alliance is firmly united ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections and expressed confidence that the coalition will win both seats. He alleged that growing anxiety, dissatisfaction and lack of trust within the BJP camp have become increasingly evident as the election approaches.

Nayak said the INDIA Alliance, under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, remains strong, cohesive and fully confident of its electoral prospects. He claimed that the alliance’s victory on both Rajya Sabha seats is certain.

Targeting the BJP, Nayak alleged that the party is grappling with internal confusion, mistrust and factionalism. Referring to reports of dissatisfaction among some BJP legislators, he said the party appears more focused on managing internal differences than addressing public issues. According to him, a party that is making efforts to keep its own legislators united is in no position to question the stability of other political formations.

He also questioned the BJP’s decision to keep its legislators together in a hotel ahead of the election. If the party leadership has complete confidence in its MLAs, such arrangements would not be necessary, he said, adding that the move reflects political insecurity and nervousness within the BJP.

Highlighting the INDIA Alliance’s position, Nayak said all constituent parties are united in their commitment to democratic values, social justice and the protection of Jharkhand’s interests. He maintained that alliance legislators would not succumb to any pressure, inducement or political manoeuvring.

The Congress leader further alleged that the BJP has devoted more energy to political management than to addressing issues such as inflation, unemployment, farmers’ concerns and the state’s development. He said the Rajya Sabha election result would demonstrate that Jharkhand politics is guided by democratic values and public trust, not by pressure tactics or political conspiracies.
