PVUNL Launches Girls Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2026 with 50 Students from Nearby Schools

Patratu: Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) successfully inaugurated the Girls Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2026 with the registration of 50 girl students from nearby schools. The initiative aims at the holistic development of young girls by providing them with opportunities to learn new skills, gain confidence, and prepare themselves for a brighter future.

An inauguration programme was organized in the evening where the girls from the previous year’s GEM batch presented vibrant cultural performances and shared their experiences and thoughts about the workshop. They also motivated the newly enrolled GEM 2026 participants to actively engage in the programme and make the best use of the opportunity.

Shri A.K. Sehgal, CEO, PVUNL, and Smt. Renu Sehgal, President, Swarn Rekha Mahila Samiti, graced the occasion as Chief Guests. Senior officials, members of the PVUNL family, children, and their families were also present during the programme.

During the event, school bags, uniforms, shoes, kits, and other useful materials were distributed among the 50 participating girls. Through GEM 2026, PVUNL aims to nurture confidence, leadership, and creativity among the participants and inspire them to become role models for future generations.
