
Jamshedpur: Residents of Jamshedpur are facing another rise in fuel prices, with petrol and diesel rates increasing for the third time within just eight days. The fresh hike has further added to the financial pressure on consumers and commuters alike.
As per the latest rates issued by Indian Oil Corporation, effective from 6 am on Saturday, petrol prices in the city increased by Rs 0.87 per litre, taking the rate to Rs 102.53 per litre. Diesel prices also went up by Rs 0.91 per litre and are now being sold at Rs 97.59 per litre.
Premium fuel prices have also been revised. XP100 is now available at Rs 164.74 per litre, while XG fuel is priced at Rs 103.09 per litre.
In addition to petrol and diesel, CNG prices have also been raised by Re 1 per kg.
The continuous rise in fuel prices is likely to affect household expenses and increase transportation costs across the city.
