Mayor’s Initiative Brings Verification Camps for Maiya Samman & Pension Beneficiaries

Deoghar. In view of the annual physical verification of beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana and various pension schemes, Mayor Ravi Kumar Raut met the Deputy Commissioner and highlighted the difficulties faced by women in the municipal area. He stated that women and elderly beneficiaries from urban areas are being forced to travel to distant block offices for verification, resulting in inconvenience and long queues.
The Mayor submitted a letter requesting that verification camps be organized at the Old Municipal Office, New Municipal Office, and KKN Stadium. He emphasized that such arrangements would greatly benefit women and pension holders in the urban area and would ensure faster and more transparent completion of the verification process.Following the Mayor’s request, the District Social Security Cell issued a directive to the Circle Officers of Deoghar and Mohanpur. The letter instructed that annual verification of beneficiaries under the National Social Assistance Programme and the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana should be conducted through camps within the municipal area.The Social Security Department further directed the concerned officials to ensure beneficiary attendance at the designated camp locations and to carry out extensive awareness campaigns so that maximum beneficiaries can participate in the verification process. Copies of the letter have also been sent to the Deputy Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, and Deputy Development Commissioner for information to ensure better coordination in the conduct of the camps and verification process.
