
Deoghar. The auditorium of Happy Feet Prep School came alive with emotions, joy and respect for motherhood during a grand celebration organised on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from mothers, children and parents, creating a warm and festive atmosphere on the school campus.
The event, organised on May 10, 2026, aimed to honour mothers and highlight their invaluable contribution to family and society. Sarwan BDO Rajneesh Kumar, Sonaraythadi BDO Neelam Kumari and social worker Rita Chourasia attended the programme as chief guests.On the occasion, tiny tots of the school presented colourful cultural performances based on the theme of motherhood. Songs such as Maa Meri Jaan and Mummy I Love You, along with lively dance performances, left the audience emotional and delighted. The innocence and confidence of the children won the hearts of everyone present and conveyed a beautiful message of love and respect for mothers.As part of the school’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, two Anganwadi workers from rural areas were provided baby kits. The school management stated that the initiative was aimed at spreading awareness about the health and nutrition of mothers and children.
Various competitions organised for mothers remained one of the major attractions of the programme. Dance, singing and craft competitions saw active participation from mothers. Fun games and Lucky Mom activities were also conducted, and winners were honoured with prizes.A special dance performance by trained mothers associated with the school’s Step-Up Dance Studio entertained the audience and received loud applause. Joint performances by mothers and children also became the highlight of the celebration.The programme was hosted by Shweta Sharma. Johnny Raag, Pritam and Sujata Ghosh served as judges for the competitions and cultural events.In her concluding address, Principal Renu Singh thanked all guests, parents and mothers for their presence and support. She said that a mother is not just a relationship, but the greatest strength in life. She also expressed gratitude to teachers Anjali, Bhumi, Mary, Abhyanka, Khushi Kumari, Khushi Singh, Neelakshi, Ambala Khushboo, Pragati and all supporting staff members for making the programme successful.The event concluded successfully with the National Anthem.
