Rubina Dilaik on Feminism: A Woman’s Identity Can Flourish Only With Equal Support

Mumbai: Television actress Rubina Dilaik shared her views on feminism, relationships and the balance between masculine and feminine energies, saying that true feminism is possible only when a woman is given the space to grow and build her own identity.

In an exclusive interaction with IANS, Rubina said, “Unless a man gives his woman’s identity a chance to bloom, no matter how loudly we scream feminism, it’s not possible.”

Explaining her perspective further, the actress drew a spiritual comparison between Shakti and Shiva, saying both energies complement each other and exist in harmony.

She said, “The masculine and feminine energies have to work in duality for us to truly believe in balance. When Shakti has to show her strength, Shiva will be seen. And when Shiva has to reflect masculinity, Shakti will be seen. It is a beautiful balance between the two powers.”

Rubina also spoke about how relationships evolve over time and how partners support each other through different phases of life. Referring to her bond with husband Abhinav Shukla, she said there are times when one partner focuses on personal growth while the other offers support.

“There will be phases where he will be building something and I will support him, and there will be phases where I am building my dreams and he will support me. When you acknowledge that, it creates a strong value system for the family,” she added.

On the work front, Rubina is set to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 15 and will soon travel to Cape Town for the shoot.

The actress also shared that being away from her twin daughters for nearly 40 days will be emotionally difficult, especially as a mother missing their hugs and physical affection.
