
Deoghar. Deoghar is set to receive Bihar and Jharkhand’s first Visa Facility Center, bringing major relief to travellers across the region. Godda MP Nishikant Dubey announced on Thursday that the center is expected to become operational between October and November this year.
Speaking to journalists in Deoghar, the MP said that residents of Bihar and Jharkhand currently have to travel to Delhi or Kolkata for visa-related work, leading to extra expenses and inconvenience. Once the new facility starts functioning in Deoghar, people will be able to access visa services much closer to home.
He informed that, in the initial phase, the center will provide visa services for travel to smaller foreign destinations. Tourists, students and travellers planning visits to Singapore, Dubai, Thailand, Malaysia and Bangkok will benefit from the facility.
According to the MP, the Visa Facility Center will greatly help residents of Santhal Pargana and several districts of Bihar and Jharkhand by simplifying international travel procedures. Students going abroad for education, tourists and business travellers are expected to gain the most from the new service.The announcement is being seen as another major development for Deoghar, which has witnessed rapid improvement in air and rail connectivity in recent years.
