Voices Raised Over Women’s Rights and Respect, BJP Alleges Neglect by Opposition

Deoghar: The Bharatiya Janata Party organized a Women’s Protest Conference at the district office in Deoghar. The program was presided over by district president Sachin Ravani. State committee member Rota Chaurasia was present as the chief guest.Addressing the gathering, speakers alleged that the Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha alliance government opposed several measures related to women empowerment and failed to protect women’s rights. It was stated that opposition to the Women’s Reservation Bill amounted to an insult to women. Mention of Central Government Schemes and Claim of Women Empowerment
Speakers highlighted various central government schemes aimed at improving the status and dignity of women. These included the Swachh Bharat Mission, Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mudra Loan Scheme, Stand Up India Scheme, and Lakhpati Didi initiative.
It was also stated that maternity leave has been extended to provide greater workplace support for women. The participation of women in different sectors was said to have increased significantly.The conference also noted that the central government has supported 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies, while some political parties have opposed it. This issue drew strong reactions during the event.
Speakers emphasized that women are no longer dependent and are actively contributing to nation building.
