Heavy vehicles barred in Jamshedpur for JPSC Exam on Sunday

Jamshedpur: In view of the upcoming Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Eligibility Examination 2024, the district administration has imposed special traffic regulations across the city to ensure smooth and hassle-free conduct of the test.

As per official directives, the entry of all heavy vehicles—except buses—will remain strictly prohibited within city  on Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm.  The order has been jointly enforced by the Deputy Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and the Traffic DSP.

Officials said the restriction is aimed at preventing traffic congestion and ensuring seamless movement for the large number of candidates expected to appear for the examination.  Traffic personnel will be deployed at key intersections to regulate vehicular flow and ensure strict compliance with the directive.

The administration has urged commuters and transport operators to plan their travel in advance and cooperate with authorities during the specified hours. The measure is part of broader efforts to maintain order and minimize disruptions on the examination day.
