Delhi police nab NDPS accused from Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: A dramatic joint operation by Delhi Police and local law enforcement led to the arrest of a wanted drug trafficking accused, Shravan Jaiswal alias Neelu, from the Sitaramdera police station area on Wednesday.

Acting on specific intelligence about his presence in the city, a team from Vikas Puri Police Station in Delhi coordinated with Sitaramdera Police and conducted a planned raid in New Baradwari (Devnagar), Ward No. 7.

The accused was taken into custody from his residence without resistance.

Jaiswal, son of Jagannath Prasad Jaiswal, had been absconding in a serious case registered under the NDPS Act in Delhi and was on the radar of authorities for a long time.

The sudden action  triggered panic in the Devnagar locality, drawing a large crowd and sparking widespread speculation among residents.

Officials said the accused has been taken to Delhi for further interrogation, adding that the arrest could help uncover a wider narcotics trafficking network.
