Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Arrives in Switzerland for WEF Davos Meet

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren arrived in Zurich on Thursday to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, where Jharkhand will be showcased as a state offering vast and diverse investment opportunities.

Received by India’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Mridul Kumar, the Chief Minister is leading an official delegation that will proceed to Davos shortly. He described the WEF as an important global forum for meaningful dialogue on sustainable and inclusive development.

According to the state government, Jharkhand’s participation at WEF is aimed at branding the state as an “Infinite Opportunity State” and drawing global investors for long-term partnerships.

While in Davos, Soren is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with industry leaders and multinational corporations. Key focus areas will include mineral resources, industrial development, clean energy, infrastructure, tourism, and socially inclusive growth. Several investment proposals are also expected to be discussed.

After the WEF, the delegation will travel to the United Kingdom, visiting London and Oxford to engage in investment promotion, policy discussions, academic collaborations, and outreach to the Indian diaspora.
