Rajnath Singh, National Leaders Pay Tribute to Dishom Guru Shibu Soren in Jharkhand

Nemra- A massive crowd gathered in Nemra village, Ramgarh district, on Saturday for the Shraddh Sanskar Bhoj of Jharkhand movement pioneer and Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren, popularly known as Dishom Guru.

By 2 p.m., nearly 70,000 people had paid their respects, with the number expected to cross three lakh by evening.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev were among the dignitaries who attended.

Rajnath Singh said, “Shibu Soren ji is no longer with us. On behalf of myself, my party, and the government, I offer my tribute.”

Baba Ramdev called him a “Loknayak not only of Jharkhand but of the entire country,” adding, “People call me their Guru, but I consider Shibu Soren my Guru.”

Other leaders, including Pappu Yadav, Ashwini Choubey, and R.K. Anand, also paid homage and met Soren’s family—Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his wife Roopi Soren, and younger son Basant Soren.

Elaborate arrangements were made for the massive turnout. A 25-km stretch from Gola Chowk to Nemra was packed with vehicles, while three helipads were prepared for VIP guests. The route was lined with huge cutouts of Guruji, 4,000 streetlights, and 200 power generators.

Five grand pandals, equipped with ACs and coolers, were set up for food and homage. With people streaming in from across India, Nemra took on the look of a grand fair honoring Dishom Guru.
