Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has written to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, requesting that the upcoming inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony for National Highway projects in Ranchi and Garhwa, scheduled for July 3, be rescheduled.
In the letter, CM Soren thanked Gadkari for the invitation, calling the event significant and expressing that it would have been an honour to attend. However, he mentioned that due to the ill health of Dishom Guru and former Chief Minister Shibu Soren, he is currently in Delhi to oversee his treatment and will not be able to attend.
"Due to Shibu Soren ji's health condition, I am in Delhi looking after his medical care and, therefore, will be unable to participate in the programme on the scheduled date," Soren wrote.
He urged the Union Minister to consider postponing the event to a later date, assuring that this would enable him to attend personally. The Chief Minister also conveyed his gratitude for Gadkari’s support and the kind invitation.
