
Ranchi — In a remarkable demonstration of civic responsibility and humanitarian spirit, BNI Ranchi successfully organized a two-day Mega Blood Donation Camp on 13th and 14th June 2025 at Firayalal Banquet Hall. The event ran from 9 AM to 6 PM each day, in partnership with Life Savers, the Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation, and the Sadar Hospital Blood Bank.
The large-scale initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents across Ranchi, making a meaningful contribution to the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
A total of 166 units of blood were collected.
A significant number of first-time donors came forward.

Celebrated globally as World Blood Donor Day, the second day of the camp saw an overwhelming response with approximately 335 units of blood collected.
Bringing the total collection over both days to an impressive 501 units, the camp set a new benchmark for community-led healthcare initiatives in the region.
Key Moments:
Around 70 first-time donors participated.
20 couples donated blood together.
60 women contributed as donors.
SDO Utkarsh Kumar donated blood alongside his brother.
ADG Mr. Sanjay Anand Rao Lathkar (IPS) and Mrs. Julie Neeta Sokey (Assistant Director, VBDA JSACS) donated blood, with Mrs. Sokey accompanied by her son, Shanon.
The presence of SSP Ranchi, Shri Chandan Sinha (IPS) and DC Ranchi, Shri Manjunath Bhajantri (IAS) further added significance to the event.
The camp was led under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Ankit Jain, Executive Director of BNI Ranchi, who shared insights about the initiative and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors and collaborators for making the event a grand success.
BNI members including Mr. Atul Gera, Mr. Mohit Chopra, Mr. Nishant Ahuja, and many other dedicated individuals played a crucial role in managing the event seamlessly and motivating participants throughout both days.
This impactful initiative stands as a shining example of how community-driven efforts can foster solidarity, promote health, and most importantly, save lives.
