
Ranchi: Covid-19 infections are once again on the rise in the Jharkhand capital. According to the latest report from the health department, six new Covid-19 cases were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases in the district to 21.
Earlier, on Wednesday, 7 out of 27 samples tested positive, while on Tuesday, 4 infections were confirmed from 20 samples. So far, a total of 452 samples have been tested in the district, out of which 37 people have tested positive.
The health department has increased vigilance and is actively engaged in monitoring and contact tracing. Authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious, follow Covid protocols, avoid crowded places, wear masks, and wash hands regularly.
In light of the increasing cases, the district administration has issued an advisory urging people to wear masks and consult doctors if they experience symptoms such as runny nose, sore throat, headache, or fever.
The Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) has also appealed to the public to remain vigilant. Through SMS alerts, the department stated that Covid-19 cases are rising in several parts of the country and emphasized that caution, not carelessness, is the need of the hour. People are advised to use masks in crowded areas, maintain hand hygiene, and get tested if symptoms appear.
Authorities have reminded the public to take care of themselves and their families as the situation develops.
