16th Finance Commission Chairman Panagariya offers prayers at Deoghar temple

Ranchi: The 16th Finance Commission team arrived in Deoghar on Thursday to a grand and traditional welcome. Led by Chairman Arvind Panagariya, the delegation visited the revered Baba Baidyanath temple, where they offered prayers and performed religious rituals.

Before the temple visit, the team was received with traditional honors by the Shrine Board at the temple premises.

Apart from Chairman Arvind Panagariya, the team comprised Anni Gorai, Manoj Panda, Pushpanjali Panda, Dr. Soumyakanti Ghosh, Ritvik Pandey, Prashant Kumar Panda, Kumar Vivek, Priya Saraf, Manish Gupta, Shikha Singh, Komal Singh, and Shyam Lal.

After the temple visit, the team proceeded directly to the Circuit House in Deoghar for a scheduled meeting. The discussions are expected to cover key issues related to financial planning and developmental initiatives.
