Ranchi: The Special Court of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in Ranchi has denied bail to notorious shooter Shiv Sharma, also known as Shivendra, in connection with an extortion case involving KCC Buildcon—the company constructing the Ratu Road flyover in the city.
The case was initially registered at the Sukhdeonagar police station and later transferred to the ATS, where it was re-registered as Case No. 3/2024. According to the FIR, Shiv Sharma allegedly threatened a company official with death and demanded five percent of the project's cost as a “settlement.” He is accused of warning the official of dire consequences if his demand was not met.
During the bail hearing, Sharma’s lawyer, Aman Kumar Rahul, argued for his release. However, the court rejected the plea, citing the serious nature of the charges. Shiv Sharma is already facing multiple cases, including murder, extortion, and other serious offenses. He remains in judicial custody.
