Police arrested 6 smugglers with 32 kg ganja from Hatia railway station

Ranchi:  Six smugglers have been arrested with 32 kg of ganja from Hatia railway station. RPF, Flying Squad and GRP jointly conducted the checking operation. In this sequence, it was seen that six persons were sitting in a suspicious condition near the escalator with four trolley bags and one big size bag. After which he was detained at Hatia station. When they were searched, 32 kg of ganja was recovered from them.

The estimated value of the recovered ganja is Rs 16 lakh. When interrogated, the arrested smugglers told that they used to transport ganja from one state to another and sell it. Smugglers said that they reached Rourkela on May 4, where Iqbal Khan provided them with ganja.

Ganja was to be taken from Rourkela to Kanpur and sold. The smugglers who were arrested include Dular Chandra Ram, Bablu Kumar Yadav, Nikhil Kumar Yadav, Hemant Mitra, Bineet Kumar and Iqwal Khan.
