Gumla: Fit India Programme, National Unity Day, Swachhta Abhiyan 3.0, Intensive (Saghan) Mission Indradhanush 5.0, Meri Mati Mera Desh, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, Khadi Mahotsav, Ek Bharat- Shrestha Bharat by Press Information Bureau, Regional Office, Gumla, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. A two-day program on welfare schemes of the Central Government was started in the Kasturba Gandhi Girls School campus located in Gumla, Bharno.
In this sequence, sports competitions were organized in the school premises under Fit India. Regional Publicity Officer Mahvish Rehman highlighted the importance of the upcoming National Unity Day and spoke about the importance of good eating habits and sports among girl students under Fit India. Also discussed about the cleanliness campaign 3.0 being run by the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
School Warden Jhario Kerketta appealed to the present students to keep their homes and school clean so that they can avoid many diseases. He also appealed to the girl students not to use single use plastic in the school premises and made them pledge to always keep the school premises clean. Teacher Manoj Sahu gave information about the efforts made by the Central Government for cleanliness and its benefits. And conducted sports competitions.
Under the pre-program, sports competitions were organized in the premises of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Gumla, under which the first Kabaddi competition was held in which there was a competition between Team Nineteen and Team Seventeen. After that a 200 meter race was organized among the girl students.
The winners of the sports events organized under the pre-programme will be awarded by the chief and distinguished guests in a special program to be held on October 18. Anjani Mishra and Sanjay Sahu of Central Communication Bureau Gumla along with teachers from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Bharno played an important role in making the program successful.
