Budget Session: Opposition BJP and JMM MLA Lobin Hembrom corner government over recruitment policy

Ranchi: On the second day of the Budget Session of the Jharkhand Assembly the opposition BJP and JMM MLA Lobin Hembrom cornered the state government over failing to bring a domicile policy which is in the interest of the locals of the state.

Outside the Vidhansabha the MLAs of the BJP indulged in slogan shouting and carrying placards protesting against the delay in announcement of the recruitment policy. They claimed that the state government has deliberately delayed the domicile and recruitment policy as it did not want to provide government jobs.

They accused the state government of misleading the youth BJP MLA Anant Ojha said that the parties in power had promised to give five lakh jobs every year but unfortunately three years have gone and it has not been able to come out with the recruitment and domicile policy. He said that the youth should not have any hopes of getting jobs under the present government. He accused the government of playing with the future and also the sentiments of the youth of the state.

The MLA said that inside and outside the house the party will keep raising the issues in the interest of the people and went on to allege that open loot was happening in Jharkhand. On the other hand, JMM’s Borio MLA Lobin Hembrom who has been critical of the government on every issue reached the Vidhansabha clad in traditional Santhal dress and carried a ‘bahangi’ in which slogans in favour of domicile policy based on the khatiyaan of 1932 was written.

He accused the state government of not listening to anyone and misleading the people. The MLA went on to claim that Chief Minister Hemant Soren does not even speak with him. The MLA claimed that the JMM had come into power in the name of Jal Jungle and Zameen but the same was being openly exploited here.

Moreover, the PESA act was also being violated in Jharkhand. He also accused the state government of misleading the youth over recruitment and local policy.
