District level meeting held over distribution of pumpsets scheme held

Ranchi: A meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee was organized under the scheme of distribution of pumpsets to small and marginal farmers and self-help groups/farmers’ groups under the state plan. District Agriculture Officer, District Cooperative Officer, District Horticulture Officer, District Program Manager, JSLPS representative and other members of the committee were present in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha. 

In the meeting, the District Land Conservation Officer, in the light of the orders contained in the state order of the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi (Agriculture Division), the irrigation wells built by MNREGA and the members of the water panchayat of the government pond and percolation tank built by the Directorate of Soil Conservation. In the meeting, detailed information was given on the purpose of providing Pumpsets.

He informed that the total number of beneficiaries of irrigation wells constructed under MNREGA is 474 and the list of percolation tanks constructed by the Directorate of Soil Conservation and renovated government and private ponds and other irrigation sources is 2166.

The district-level committee unanimously approved the list of beneficiaries of MNREGA-constructed irrigation wells and percolation tanks constructed by the Directorate of Soil Conservation and Pani Panchayat members of renovated government and private ponds and beneficiaries of other irrigation sources.

Out of the total number of 2640 beneficiaries of MNREGA built irrigation wells and percolation tanks constructed by the Directorate of Soil Conservation and Pani  Panchayat members of renovated government and private ponds, 830 beneficiaries were approved in the light of the approved target.

It was decided by the committee that if the beneficiaries of a block do not buy pumpsets by depositing 10 percent farmers’ contribution then the beneficiaries of other blocks will be given priority under the list and they will be considered as finally approved.
