Ganga Vilas reaches Sahibganj, docks at Samda Ghat

Sahibganj: The world’s longest river cruise MV Ganga Vilas late Friday evening reached Sahibganj and docked at the Samda Ghat. The cruise will make an overnight stay here.

After the news spread regarding the arrival of the ship at the old Sahibganj Ghat, a crowd of people gathered to see the cruise. Sahibganj DC Ramniwas Yadav, SP Anuranjan Kispotta, DFO Manish Tiwari, NDC Mithilesh Jha, SDO Rahul Anand DTO Santosh Kumar Garg, DMO Vibhuti Kumar, SDPO Rajendra Dubey, DPRO Savita Singh reviewed the security arrangements for the cruise at Samda ghat.

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements at the Ghat including those related to lightning and the security of the port. The administration has lined up plans to give a grand welcome to the visitors and make them aware of the local cuisine dialect and culture.
