Tribals protest at Parasnath

Giridih: As part of the preannounced programme, a gathering of tribals from the entire state including Ranchi took place at Madhuban in Parasnath.

A protest rally was taken out from Madhuban to Parasnath hills. The protest march organized under the banner of Jharkhand Bachao Morcha, Marang Buru Sawanta Susar Baisi, and Adivasi-Moolvasi Sangharsh Morcha reached Dishome Maan Thana.

The people there indulged in slogan shouting and also indulged in the burning of effigies. There was a unanimous demand to stop the encroachment of Marang Buru and to declare it as a place of pilgrimage for tribals.

Many leaders including JMM MLA Lobin Hembram, Jairam Mahto, Surya Singh Besra, Salkhan Murmu, Geetashree Oraon reached the program from Ranchi.
