Wanted to stop influx of outsiders through recruitment policy: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Blaming the opposition BJP squarely for the scrapping of the recruitment policy by the Jharkhand High Court Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that his sole idea was to stop the influx of outsiders from bagging the jobs in the state.

Speaking in the Vidhan Sabha during the final day of the Winter Session he said that every government has the right to work for the welfare of its own people the Advasis and Moolvasis of the state but the BJP made a Tribal leader its face to file a petition in the case while the remaining others were all outsiders hailing from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Attacking the BJP and its MLAs for staging a walk out before he spoke to speak he said that the party and the leaders of the BJP do not have the courage to stand and listen to the truth or the wrong acts which they have done in the state over the last two decades. 

The Chief Minister said that the three year of the government has been full of challenges during which it battled the horrors of Coronavirus which is once again coming back to the country. He informed the house that necessary actions will be taken as and when certain instructions are received from the Centre.

Continuing his tirade he said that opposition in Jharkhand is leaderless issueless and directionless. He said that as part of a planned conspiracy the BJP has got a leaderless opposition and it is not that they cannot have a leader and now in the form of Babulal Marandi they have got a tribal face which they are using to lure the Adivasis and Moolvasis of the state which is not going to happen as everyone is aware of their actions.

He said that even he earlier did not use to understand their acts but now has learnt their ways. The Chief Minister said that people of the state will no longer be trapped by the words of the BJP.

He said that for 20 years the BJP was in power in Jharkhand and it could have done whatever it wanted whether it was implementing the domicile policy, making the recruitment policy or increasing the OBC reservation or the Sarna code but they did nothing. He said that as part of a planned conspiracy the state was made to remain backward despite having all the potential to stand among the developed states of the nation.
